About Joy
“Joy” is an experienced educator who taught public school elementary Art, Music, and Drama and Special Education as well as Middle School classroom for 10 years in Michigan. While raising her own 2 children, she was a recognized Volunteer of the Year in Texas public schools and has taught in various private schools and amongst Home Schoolers.
“Joy” has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education,another Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts,18 hours Post Graduate Studies in Special Education and a Master’s Certificate in Orff-Schulwerk (a music specialty involving improvisation & composing.)
"Joy" is a NARHA Certified Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor and has worked with horses and children and adults with special needs for over 10 years. She has been an officer in local clown alleys as well as the Texas Clown Association, is a member of Clowns of America International, and also a member of the World Clown Association. "Joy" is an instrumentalist playing piano, organ, guitar, percussion, and recorder as well as a vocalist in singing groups such as Allegro and the Midland/Odessa Symphony Chorale.
